Research Description
I'm a Portuguese Ph.D. student. Since 2019, I've been working with metabarcoding to study microbial communities associated with plants. My current interest is the mycorrhizae helper bacteria-ectomycorrhizal fungi-tree symbiosis. Using cultural methods, long-read sequencing, and other omic techniques, I aim to identify soil microorganisms capable of improving mycorrhization.
